Richard Barrett is based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. He is committed to a programme of continuing development of his artistic and technical skills and is currently engaged in a project to photograph derelict buildings, discarded machinery and "old, rusty objects".

Richard undertakes commissions on a wide range of subjects; his photographic interests include portrait, still life, landscape, flora and fauna, commercial, industrial and travel subjects.

He specialises in photographing industrial and commercial items and objet d'art, preparing and optimising the images for use on clients on line retail web sites.
